Creamy Cabbage Carbonara Recipe

This Cabbage Carbonara recipe is a quick, delicious low carb meal that’s a great way to add more nutritious vegetables into your diet at lunch or dinner. You can also use it just as a guide and change up the ingredients to suit your own tastes.


400gm shredded cabbage
100gm grated carrot
3/4 cup cream
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp garlic
Dash of salt and pepper
2 tsp tapioca flour
150gm shredded chicken


Serves 2

1. Add shredded cabbage to a large fry pan and steam with lid on until it starts to soften.

2. Add grated carrot and mix into the cabbage.

3. Add cream, turmeric, garlic, salt and pepper and mix.

4. Stir tapioca flour into a little of the cream on the side of the pan until it thickens then mix through dish.

5. Add chicken and stir.

6. Serve the cabbage carbonara in a bowl and enjoy!
